Lucy and her Flying Ears

There is Lucy likes more than to stick her head out the window. The peeps figure she is in it for the thrill of flying ears.  They could be right.  The peeps took this picture while boating--these are my happy ears. Flying ears.

Lucy and the White Castles

Sliders. We all know that White Castle is king of the slider. Lucy is such a fan of the little burgers that she wanted to make sure there was nothing left in the little white boxes. She knocked over the trash, fished out the little white boxes and dragged them into the living room. We're not sure how much cardboard she ate before the peeps intervened.

Miss Lucy Goes to Springfield

The peeps took me for a ride down to the state capitol. I peered out the window of my chauffeur driven Celica and saw the old building. Looks, to me, like that dome would make a really nice dog house. Perhaps I should talk to the peeps about up-grading my quarters.
L
Stop! I said. This is where I want to get off. Oh yeah. I know a good thing when I see it. Ah! I can smell it from here. Let me out of this car.

Magneto: King of Cardboard City

This is high quality living. As you can see this is a large house. Should I tire of it, I have more choices. Plenty of room for catnaps.

One small trip to Aldi: One cardboard city for Magneto.

Blogging Is Hard Work

I had plenty of things on my cat-mind. I was ready to blog. Then I had to wait for the peeps to finish using the  computer--that probably used up 1/2  of one of my lives. Then I had problems getting my paws on the keyboard.  All this was so tiring that I rather forgot what was on my cat-mind.  I needed a catnap. All I can think was that it was something Bad-Lucy did.

You can see that my mind is on the nap. The blog? Not so much.

Rones takes a full fledged cat-nap.

In the Cat Garden

Cat's Eye View of rhe Cat Garden.

Rones suns himself after a quick romp in the Cat Garden. There is catnip in the air.

Magneto gets some rays in the Cat Garden.

Lucy and Rones enjoy the Cat Garden. Wait a minute here. What is Lucy doing in the Cat Garden? Has she come in peace? Lucy?

Portrait of Lucy

This is a beautiful portrait. One of my peeps: the talented artist, the red haired one, painted this wonderful picture. Of course, with me as a subject, there was no way he could go wrong.
He took a picture of me when my mom-peep was scratching under my chin. Personally, I think Reid could have left her hand out of my portrait. But, you know peeps, they have minds of their own.

Notice how lovely this painting is. There is texture. My collar stands out and my name tag is a bottle cap. That Reid sure had a beautiful subject.

Magneto's 2-Box Housing Complex Has Been Swept Away: Un-Natural Disaster

Awhile back the peeps went into a wild cleaning frenzy. They dragged a long stick with many little sticks attached to the bottom all over the kitchen floor. The cats say this happens when the peeps are having special people come for a massive feeding. They say it is a time to hide-out and wait for the leftovers. I listened to the advice but I didn't like the idea of hiding: I preferred barking. I gave each guest my special greeting. The cats were right about after-party benefits. We were all happy--except for Magneto. He whined about his cardboard boxes. I think he is still whining. Don't worry said Rones. The peeps will make a trip to Sam's and soon you will have a new housing complex.

Tyrone: Timeless Beauty

Just to let you know. Don't get any ideas about me being the next surf-cat. Personally I think surfing, going way out to sea--way, way out, sounds like a job for Lucy.

Nesting: No Box Needed

Sleep in a box? No way! Nesting is the way to go: First find a soft couch, Second circle the cushions and dig wildly, Third burrow in the soft cushions, Final step is to take a nice dog-nap. Try it Magneto and Maru and all you other sleep-in-a-cardboard-boxers: You might enjoy a dog nap.
(Disclaimer: The peeps will not be overjoyed that you have totally done a makeover of their furniture. Lucy will not be responsible for possible consequences.)

Please Don't Eat the Daisies

Tyrone lurks about cone flowers. Usually these flowers are pink--but an exotic cat would hang with the unusual. As Tyrone notes: Lucy is nowhere to be seen.

Who Is Behind Those Foster Grants?

Nobody! It's me, Lucy, behind my purple www.zennioptical.com glasses.  This cheap-cheap-cheap on-line optical store should be proud having Lucy display zenni products. Don't even think about it, oh my furry ones. Cats need not apply.

Sophia Lauren--Move Over

Nobody looks better than me behind a pair of shades. Nobody. These blue shades, by Zenni Optical, rule. Lucy rules. What more can I say?

Dog Model: Lucy

Project Runway doesn't have a thing on me. When it comes to cooperation with the staff no one could be better. There is no doubt I rule the dog-model world. I am the best. Cats need not apply.

Enough!

There is a reason this is LUCY and the pussycats. I don't avoid being photographed: It doesn't hurt one little bit. Besides, I might get a Pup-eroni if I'm really cute and cooperative. I guess I'm more like Paris Hilton . There is no such thing as bad press. You can see Magneto residing in a box. Not near as cool as me.

Greta Cat-bo?

This goofy cat is like the camera-shy Greta Garbo.  Rones (aka Ronery) is like the elusive actress except for a few things: Rones is male, has no illustrious film career, doesn't wear a scarf or dark glasses, and is not a peep.
Really what is the big deal? This is Lucy and the Pussycats; not the National Enquirer.

Move Over Maru

Maru, you have absolutely nothing over our Tyrone. Somebody paid big bucks to get a round-headed-short-eared cat. Our Tyrone comes by this form naturally. Many years and frostbitten ears have given him this exotic look. You just can't beat a tough midwesterner: Scottish Folds take note. Hear that Maru?

Cat Model: Model Cat

There is no doubt: Tyrone rules. The king of the food bowl is also the kind of the runway. Although Renata claims he is a model pet most folks feels he reigns in the aloof world--truly a cat-model.

Cat in the Box. This Cat? In THIS Box?

Modern science cannot explain how this cat can fit into this box. In standing position Magneto is already hanging over the edge. How can he force his body into this space? The answer is simply this: Magneto is a cat. Cats can do this kind of work.

Remodeled Two Bedroom Cat House

How do you like it? Thought the in-line box was more my style. I can still have a spare room without taking up so much of the kitchen floor. I knew all that HGTV would come in handy "Magneto," said Lucy, "You are nuts."

Two Bedroom House

This is the Ritz! If I want to have guests I have a spare room. If I need a mood change I can sleep in soothing tan or calming gray. What more could I ask for?  Well, for starters, my dear Magneto, you might ask for something more than two shoe boxes.

IN the Box: Magneto Gets it Right

Magneto finally figured out that his box was upside down. It took him awhile but he came to the realization that ON the box wasn't very cozy. I guess I'll never crack the code that operates a cat mind. Why pick an unpadded box over a cushy couch or Lazy Boy chair for sleeping? Not a clue--just don't know what makes Magneto's mind click.

Is Magneto Having Trouble With Prepositions?

I think the King Of Boxes is slipping up. This is a great picture of Magneto ON the box. Com'on cat. Surely you can find a more comfy place.

No box: No problem

The King of Boxes is forced to sleep on a purse. Don't know why any cat, self-respecting or not, would stoop to such a sleeping position.

Aviso Hay Perro

Warning there is a dog? I don't care what language you use, I don't care how decorative the entryway, I don't care how well appointed the space, I don't care how cool the kennel might be:
A cage is a cage. And, Lucy don't need no expletive-deleted cage.

News Flash: Cats Steal Dog's Food

Steal my food? I don't really care if the felines eat the whole bag of Pedigree. Like this is a big deal? You can see how concerned I am. Now if they got into my pup-peroni....

Presto-Chango

Now if cat-in-a-box could presto-chango into cow-on-the-street that would be one memorable trick.  But no. This is just a picture of a Dominican cow plodding down the road. You just can't fool Lucy.

Cat Trick Worth Photographing?

This photo takes the cake. This is special? A cat trick? Cat sleeping on a flat box in sunlight? It doesn't take much to amuse the peeps and cause them to drag out their camera.  And I though cat-in-a-box was a dumb trick.

Lucy and the Peeps

This is a picture of me and my peeps. Yes, Abe Lincoln is kin to me. This was taken in Pontiac, IL at the Walldogs, people who paint cool advertising pictures on walls, Festival.
Notice that oh furry ones. Cool-guy painters are walldogs--not wallcats.

Our Wishes For Lucy

We believe that these statues were made by dipping live dogs in concrete. That's right Lucy--live dogs covered in concrete. Then the formerly pesky beasts are painted and displayed. Soooo--we are all hoping that Lucy becomes a statue....soon.
The peeps say that is not how the statues are made. They say these are made as a tribute to dogs. We like our ideas better.

Same Old Trick

Oh those clever, clever cats. Look how cute this is. Magneto is in a box. Do you know how many pictures of Magneto-in-a-box there are? How many boxes there are?
I find I am every bit as cute resting on a recliner, curled up on a couch, pausing for rest on the people-bed, or snoozing in my soft, special for me, doggie-bed. A cardboard box, with no blanket or padding? Never. Even when I am asleep I have cuter tricks.

The Insiders

All cats are not alike. There are insiders and outsiders. These two, Magneto and Rones, are insiders. Here they are posing with the fish. They are the ones who are pretty clever. They have the same house rights as people.....and me.
Some other time I'll talk about outsiders (Tyrone and Barack Starr). They have decent cat homes. They have full access to the cat garden, petting, and food. Just they aren't supposed to come into the big house. And, most certainly, they can't play with the fish.

The Peeps Go Picture-Crazy

On really nice days the peeps go boating. Of course they take the dog. What else is there to do but take pictures of Lucy. From one boating trip they took 97, we kid you not, pictures of the dog on the boat. These are just a few of the pictures. Could this be anymore boring?
